Enclosure Materials

This list details the standard and optional materials used by Serpac. It is intended to be a guideline to help engineers select a polymer which best suits their need. There are minimum order quantities for moulding in alternative materials, typically 500 or 1000 pieces. Please call our sales team for more information.

Clear and Transparent Red Panel Characteristics

These panels are available as optional accessories on the A-SERIES, H-SERIES and M-SERIES enclosures. The following graph and illustration gives the transmittance performance.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Dielectric strength: 85 KV/mil
Continuous operating temperature: -50oC (58oF) to 74oC (165oF)

PANEL THICKNESS:
A-SERIES: 1.52mm (except A-42, 3.18mm)
H-SERIES: 1.14mm
M-SERIES: 1.65mm

Infra-Red Panel Characteristics

These panels are available as optional accessories on the A-SERIES, H-SERIES and M-SERIES enclosures. The following graph and illustration gives the transmittance performance.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Dielectric strength: 380 KV/mil
Continuous operating temperature: -129oC (200oF) to 276oC (310oF)

PANEL THICKNESS:
A-SERIES: 1.52mm (except A-42, 3.18mm)
H-SERIES: 1.14mm
M-SERIES: 1.65mm
